NEA (Non-Exam Assessment) - Class of 2020
Here you can find further information on the requirements and options for this task.
Further Information and the Mark Scheme can be found of the main NEA page

Choose ONE of the possible projects/briefs
Read the accompanying exam information that expands on this summary.
You must work alone to create this.
Friends/family can model for your and assist with equipment but the creative elements must be self-created.
Any assistance must be logged on the exam submission sheet (do not log Mr Ekkel as this help is expected as teacher to the group)
Our options are limited to the Briefs selected by me. This has been determined by our resources and work done so far.
You MUST spend time researching and planning before starting to create your product. Dates/timeline is on the last slide.

PROCESS
-Re-read all tasks and decide over the next days which you’ll do
-Research similar products. Make notes on useful ideas that you can use
-Make a ‘to-do’ list based on the requirements for your chosen task
-Schedule WHEN you will capture your media
-Book class equipment on the website
-Create a rough draft(s)
-Consider mise-en-scene, locations or extra help from friends
-Find cast/models/actors willing to help you. Bribe them with pizza

Key Dates
-Up until Xmas break – planning, write Statement of Intent
-After Xmas break – FILMING
-After Chinese New Year break – EDITING
-1st draft screening / demonstration on w/c Feb 17th
-Final Hand-In: W/C March 2nd

Statement of Intent
You must write a 300-word Statement of Intent after planning but before you create your product.
Give equal balance to explaining your choices of:
- media language
- representation
- target audience and how you will reach them
- narrative choices/theory (if relevant)
I will mark one draft of your S.o.I.
